Project brief

Comprehensive System Safety Assessment package for a regional turboprop aircraft avionics suite comprising 14 LRUs, prepared per SAE ARP4761 "Guidelines for the Conduct of the Safety Assessment Process on Civil Airborne Systems and Equipment" and SAE ARP4754A "Guidelines for Development of Civil Aircraft and Systems." The document set includes Functional Hazard Assessment, Preliminary System Safety Assessment, System Safety Assessment, and Common Cause Analysis.

The report scope brings several safety-analysis methods into a structured documentation package. This portfolio explanation is not an independent safety determination.

The engineering challenge

Maintain a traceable relationship between aircraft functions, failure conditions, architecture, and supporting safety analyses.
