Project brief
This concept would develop a folded sheet-metal enclosure for a generic outdoor monitoring node. The work would begin with component keep-outs, connector locations, and service tasks, then turn those requirements into a small family of folded-part configurations. Design attention would center on bend access, fastener engagement, gasket compression, cable routing, and drainage paths. Flat patterns and assembly drawings would make manufacturing intent reviewable without presenting the enclosure as weather-rated. A simple thermal review would identify likely hot regions and possible ventilation tradeoffs. The proposed output is a fabrication package and prototype inspection plan, including fit checks and basic ingress observations. Formal environmental ratings would require a separately defined test program and are not claimed by this concept.

Engineering approach
