Technical report package supporting EASA SC-RPAS-01 type certification application for a 25kg commercial UAV.

UAV CertificationEASAUC3Technical Report

Project brief

Complete technical report package supporting a type certification application for a commercial 25kg fixed-wing UAV under EASA Special Condition SC-RPAS-01. The package covers airworthiness substantiation across 14 technical disciplines, supporting the design organization approval (DOA) submission and demonstrating compliance with EASA CS-RPAS requirements for commercial BVLOS operations.

The supplied record concerns support for an application, not a new approval granted by this portfolio. The enrichment preserves that distinction.

The engineering challenge

Assemble multidisciplinary UAV engineering evidence into a coherent certification-support narrative.

Engineering approach

  1. Organize structures, propulsion, avionics, software, and operational evidence.
  2. Connect analysis and flight-test material to the report's technical scope.
  3. Consolidate link, detect-and-avoid, and risk-assessment references for review.

Features & capabilities

  • Airworthiness substantiation: structures, propulsion, avionics, software, EMC
  • Flight performance: cruise, climb, glide, stall, control margins
  • Structural analysis: FEA of composite airframe, wing, tail, landing gear
  • Flight test report: 240 flight test sorties, 180 flight hours of data
  • Ground proximity sensor qualification and obstacle avoidance testing
  • Detect and Avoid (DAA) system capability report for BVLOS operations
  • Command and Control link analysis: link budget, coverage, encryption
  • Operational risk assessment (SORA): ConOps, ARC, SAIL determination
